Wow, what a journey thus far, so exciting and such anticipation for this day. 5 years ago if anyone would have asked me the question “What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?” my answer wouldn’t have been “Writing a Food Blog and being a Stay At Home Mom”, it would have been, furthering my career in the Financial Services industry or hopefully in the beginning stages of starting my own Sales Training and Consulting business. My path has definitely take a drastic turn but I am so thankful that it has led me to a community that is so warm and welcoming.
I want to take a moment and thank my blog designer and hosting company, Matthew Sigley, from Kinetica Media, if not for him I wouldn’t be up and running today. He has and continues to be very patient with me through my learning curve. I also wanted to send out a great big thank you to a few people in the food community that have been quick to assist when I had many questions: Christy – 5 Types of Sugar, Aran – cannelle et vanille, Bea – La Tartine Gourmande, Matt – mattbites, Michael - Michael Ruhlman, Donna – Donna’s Photography Blog, Matt – Starting To Cook, Jaden – Steamy Kitchen, and the community at Food Blog Forum – Food Blog Forum.
I am excited to introduce La Mia Vita Dolce. I will be posting twice a week, possibly three. My daughter, Liana, will be snapping the photos until I learn to do more than point and shoot. Liana is an amazing artist, she paints, sketches and is an amateur photographer with a large portfolio but she has never done any food photography. With her talent I am sure she will catch on quickly. This is a new venture for both of us and I am elated that we are doing this together. Below are a few of her beginning food photos.
