These are great photos – and I like the way you displayed them too. Very creative. Kind of tells a story…in one glance.

Thank you Marley, wish I could take credit for the photos, but my lovely daughter is the photographer, I just style and figure out where to place them. This is definitely something she inherited from her Dad.

Hey Grace!
Your daughter’s photography is absolutely beautiful!
I would really appreciate it if you could ask her what camera she uses, her lens, and also how she gets her exposure and brightness so wonderful!

Hi Kristen I’m not sure what is happening with your comment but I’ve answered it a few times and it keeps coming back and my reply is getting lost. I’m going to give it one more try. Liana shoots with a Canon EOS Rebel XSi with with a EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM telephoto zoom lens and also a EF-S18-55m 1:3.5-5.6 IS. She opens the original file as camera raw in photoshop and then works with the picture there. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Ciao!
My name is Daniela and I am Italian. I live now in California but I was born and raised in Italy. I have a catering company so quite often I research for new books on Amazon. Today I was lucky to find your book. Your recipes remind me about my childhood in Italy. Panna Cotta, crema pasticcera bavarese alle fragole are just some of the recipes I usually make and yours are just the same as mine. It is very seldom that I find a book with truly Italian recipes, but yours is. I just wanted to let you know that you wrote a wonderful book, even for someone who is Italian and really loves to bake.
Ben fatto!!E grazie.
Daniela

Thank you so much Daniela! How jealous I am, wish I would have been able to grow up in Italy. I’ve always been envious of my older brothers and sisters for this very reason. Some day I would like to live in Italy even if it’s only for a few months out of the year. All the best Daniela!

Hi Grace,
I stumbled across your site a couple of months ago, I don’t remember how I came across it, but I was blown away at how similar our lives are. Food, Cooking, Baking, Car Business…your writing sucked me in, it feels so familiar…you know how we italians are…we just feel like family….anyway, I have been away from my position of stay at home wife and Mom for about9 years now and am going back to it! I have been off a week and am thrilled to have found my way home. I have taken the first step to a BIG change in my life and I am even more drawn to your site! You have unknowingly been a driving force to trust what i’m doing and to keep going! I am reading more and more of your stories and it inspires me, fuels my desire to trust myself! Thank You! Congratulations on your book, which I will add to my extensive collection! I will be in touch along my journey. I wish you continued success. Nancy

Nancy I don’t know what to say, your words really touched me and brought a tear to my eye, thank you so much for sharing! Are you returning to the car business? I am so jealous, I do miss it very much, I worked with a great bunch and had the best dealer principal. I wish you much success and please, please keep in touch! And please don’t forget to let me know how the cookies turn out. I’m going to be baking some for Christmas (a few batches at least, these are the first to disappear.) And please accept my apology for the tardy reply I’ve been a little under the weather this week.

How do I make great sugar free desserts
without using sweet-n-low, splenda or perhaps equal?
December 29th, 2012 at 8:03 pm
Hi Audrea I can’t say that I’ve ever baked without sugar nor have I ever used the the sugar replacements but I would recommend testing recipes with honey if this is an option or possibly agave nectar. I should really spend some time testing recipes because my brother is a diabetic and often times he can’t partake in the sweet treats. I’m sorry I can’t really be of any assistance at this point in time.
